Benevolence - Our benevolence ministry strives to meet the immediate needs of our members and regular attendees from our food pantry, as well as with financial assistance. You can benefit from becoming involved as we at LSCC lovingly tend to His flock.
Blood Drive - Do you want to become involved in a ministry but are pressed for time? Join the LSCC Blood Donor Ministry and commit to as little as one hour per year.
Boy Scout Troop 372 - Help young people develop into the people that God desires them to be through a values-based Scouting ministry. Scouts will learn how to study the Bible, basic outdoor skills, first aid, citizenship training, leadership skills, self-reliance and teamwork. For time well spent, please consider volunteering.
Building Maintenance - Do you have the ability to fix things and make them look good? We are looking for people who would be available on Wednesday evenings or for special projects, to help us keep this building (a blessing from God) looking its best and functioning well.
Children's Bible School - This is an opportunity to help children learn about Jesus and His love for them. Teachers and assistants from Baby Bible School through 6th grade join together to build a foundation of Godly character in children through age-appropriate Bible lessons.
Children's Worship - A purposeful time for children, ages 2 through 6th grade. Children worship God through song, Bible lessons, and activities.
Communion Prep - Communion is a vital part of our service each week. Christ served communion to His disciples but who set it up? By following His guide, we work behind the scenes preparing the trays for each service. The ministry consists of three parts: 1. actual setting up the trays with juice and wafers (can be done on Friday or Saturday); 2. replenish the juice cups and wafers used from first service (done after the first service or by coming early to Sunday School); and 3. cleaning up the trays after second service. You are asked to commit to only one month per year, and you choose which part of the preparation that you would prefer.
Computer Tech - If you enjoy working on a computer and enjoy music, we have just the ministry for you! Consider being a part of this important ministry that projects our songs and announcements during worship each week. Training is available!
Custodial - Beautiful, well-kept classrooms, spotless carpeted hallways, and glowing windows are this ministry’s goal. Every environment deserves a chance to shine!
Drama - Our goal is to reach, encourage, and inspire others toward an understanding and more meaningful relationship with Christ by recreating words into powerful and moving action.
Fellowship - Fellowship, food, and fun! We’d love to have you help put together social functions for the entire church and their friends. We need creative ideas, helping hands, and enthusiastic volunteers. We have a place for you!
Finance Team - We assist in developing and managing financial policies and procedures for the church. We are presently developing financial stewardship training and financial counseling programs and will need additional teachers and counselors.
Furniture Transition - The purpose of this ministry is to serve LSCC, it's staff, and various ministries by moving and arranging chairs, tables, and other furniture for special events and activities. Team members also provide advice on building utilization and room configurations.
Garden of Weedin' - Flower gardeners gather to share ideas, share perennials, and visit gardens. We use our talents to plant and maintain the courtyard at LSCC.
Greeter Team - The Greeter Team's goal is to convey warmth and to make others feel comfortable upon entering the church building. This team strives to be friendly and knowledgeable, while displaying an "extra mile" attitude and exemplifying the motto: I'm flexible, I'm helpful, I'm here to serve.
Grounds Maintenance - Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you have the ability to operate a shovel, rake, chain saw, wheelbarrow, etc? We will be announcing workdays several times a year and we can use your help!
Guest Reception - As a member of this team, you will be serving as a host or providing baked goods in our Fireside Room. Using your gift of hospitality, you will be welcoming our first time guests as they wait to meet our Evangelist, Administrative Minister, and Elders after services each Sunday.
H.E.L.P.S. - Helping, Encouraging, Lifting up, Providing, Serving This new ministry may provide a listening ear, a meal, a helping hand or a comforting shoulder to those in need. Those needing us may include, but are not limited to: new mothers, the elderly, single parents, widows, and those recovering from illness.
Kids of the Kingdom - An interdenominational performing group for children ages 8 to 14 years old. Our mission is to advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through the performing arts. Prior musical experience is not required.
Kitchen - We interface with other ministries to help them use the kitchen as a tool to meet their ministry goals. We hope to be atmosphere builders, creating hospitality in our church home, as we do in our own homes.
Library - We, involved in this ministry, strive to meet the needs of the people by making available quality resources that will benefit their spiritual, emotional, and physical growth. We are seeking mature, responsible adults to serve either behind the scenes in processing or up front with the patrons. The LSCC Library is a fast-growing ministry and houses over 3,140 books, 612 videos, 451 CD’s and 131 audio sets. 1Cor. 14:33,40
Lighting Tech - Lighting, during our services, helps to set a particular mood conducive for worship. If you would enjoy working with technical lighting devices, we welcome you to join with us. Training is available!
Men's - We are forming the leadership team for the Men's Ministry. There is a wide variety of men in Marquette County and at LSCC. Help us develop ways to reach out to these men in Marquette who do not know Jesus and to reach the men at LSCC so that they will grow in their relationship with God and with the other men at LSCC.
Nursery Services - To provide a safe and nurturing environment in which Biblical teaching, Christian compassion, and servanthood are demonstrated and taught, so that a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ begins.
Office - Come be a part of the CHURCH TEAM: T- training, E- experience, A- availability, M- motivation. There’s a lot going on in the church office. Whether you're a people person or task oriented, the church office can use your services!
Parking Team - This team strives to insure that the first face you see when you approach LSCC has a smile on it. Become a part of the front lines by helping to facilitate the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic before and after Sunday services.
Rainbow Recovery - Rainbow Recovery Ministry is looking for mature Christian men and women to support new Christians as they grow in their relationship with God.
Seasonal Decorating - This committee takes the ordinary, kicks it up a notch and changes the church surroundings with special touches, season to season. There is also the vision to do some special painting in some locations in the church.(Kitchen, bathrooms, walls, and the like)
Sermon Theme Decorating - This ministry is for those who think quickly on their feet! Brainstorming ideas and thinking outside the box to find just the right props, are the challenges.
Single Adult Ministry (SAM) - We single adult Christians need each other for encouragement, support, accountability and Christian growth. Our ministry includes a Sunday ABF class, monthly social activities, outreach to other singles and help with everyday needs as singles. Come join us and help us in our ministry to each other and reaching out to other single adults in Marquette County.
Special Music - This ministry serves as a compliment to the offering time during our Sunday worship services, as well as, for special events. Special music participants are auditioned and chosen for rotation during services and events.
Upward Basketball - Using the sport of basketball to minister to kids and their families, the Upward program is designed to share the love of Jesus Christ through their coaches, referees, devotional time, and the games themselves. Volunteers are needed from January thru March to help coach, referee or work in concessions on games days.
Ushers & Communion Servers - The Usher and Server Team help seat people, answer questions, take the offering, and administer Communion. Consider joining this crucial service to the church body and visitors.
Video Tech - Do you like working with video equipment, serving behind the scenes, and want to help with our growing worship ministry? If so, the Video Tech. Ministry could be for you. Training is available! Join the team!
Wednesday Jammers - If you really enjoy Christian Music we’d like to invite you to join us in singing or playing an instrument every other Wednesday evening at the church. This is a fun group, no pressure, just to enjoy and encourage one another.
Welcome Center - A friendly greeting and answers to questions help our guests to feel Jesus' love and care. Enthusiastic men, women, and teens answer questions, escort guests around the building, and connect these guests to other ministries and people.
Women’s - Seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by loving women into fellowship, encouraging women through discipleship, building women in the Word, and equipping women for God’s service. This goal is forwarded in many different ways, such as Women’s Bible Studies, retreats, informal fellowship activities, and a Christmas tea for the women of the church and their guests.
Worship Bands - An important part of the weekly worship experience at LSCC involves music, both vocal and instrumental. If you possess musical ability and would like to use it to worship God, then the Worship Bands may be the place for you to serve. Join us as we lead the Body to praise and worship our Mighty God!
Youth Ministry- 7th - 12th grade - Our Youth Ministry is all about creating "A More Consistent Variety" for junior and senior high students to meet, fall in love with, and share Jesus Christ. We are always looking for steady, yet innovative parents and sponsors to be a part of this lively ministry!
